Attention Passengers
Airline counters are occasionally closed one-half hour prior to departure. Please arrive at least 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to your flights scheduled departure time.

Smoking Ban

Smoking is no longer permitted in the terminal. There is also no smoking within 45 feet of the front of the terminal building.

Passport Requirements

All passengers traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport.

Nonstop Jet Service to Detroit!

Effective April 8th: Northwest Airlines will upgrade one of its three daily 34 seat turboprop flights from Yeager Airport to Detroit to a 50 seat Regional Jet. The Jet flight will arrive in Charleston at 3:15pm and depart for Detroit at 4:10pm.

Myrtle Beach Flights Resume

Southern Skyways has announced the resuming of flights from Yeager Airport to Myrtle Beach. Flights will operate on Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays. Visit www.southernskyways.com to book!

Nonstop Flights to Orlando!
Southern Skyways has announced nonstop flights from Yeager Airport to Orlando, FL. Flights begin May 22nd and will operate on Sundays and Thursdays utilizing the Orlando Sanford Airport. The flights will depart Charleston at 10:10am and arrive in Orlando at noon. The return flight will depart orlando at 1:15pm and arrive in Charleston at 3:20pm. Visit www.southernskyways.com to book!

Continental Upgrades Aircraft!

Continental Airlines has upgraded all flights from Yeager Airport to its Cleveland hub from 19 to 37 seat turboprops. Continental offers three flights per day to its Cleveland, OH hub. Continental also offers two daily flights to its Houston, TX hub. Visit www.continental.com to book.

Airport Construction Progress

Construction of Engineered Materials Arresting System, or EMAS, at the end of runway 5 has been completed.

There are currently projects to add a safety area and an extension to the airports main runway, as well as a project to widen the main taxiway. Also, the second stage of the project to widen taxiway A is now in progress and is moving quickly. You may view progress of the taxiway construction, runway extension, and runway safety area on the Projects page.
