Attention Passengers

Airline counters are occasionally closed one-half hour prior to departure. Please arrive at least 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to your flights scheduled departure time.

Smoking Ban

Smoking is no longer permitted in the terminal. There is also no smoking within 45 feet of the front of the terminal building.

American Airlines Adds Non-Stop Flights to New York LaGuardia!

American Eagle now offers flights from Yeager Airport to New York's LaGuardia Airport. There will is one daily roundtrip operated by a 37-seat Embraer-135 regional jet. The flight leaves Charleston at 6:45am and arrives in New York at 8:25am. The return flight leaves New York at 6:55pm and arrives in Charleston at 8:55pm. AirTran Announces Orlando!

AirTran Airways has announce nonstop service from Yeager Airport to Orlando International Airport. Fares start at 44* Each way! The route will be flown with 118 seat Boeing 717 jets. Flights operate Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Visit www.airtran.com to book!

Northwest Adds Jet Service to Detroit!

Northwest Airlines has upgraded the second of 3 flights from Yeager Airport to its Detroit hub to a 50-seat Regional Jet. The 6:15am and 4:27pm departures to Detroit are operated with 50-seat Regional Jets. The 12:00pm departure will still be operated by a turboprop. Northwest currently offers 3 daily roundtrip flights to its Detroit, MI hub.

Continental Adds Larger Jets to Houston!

Continental Airlines has upgraded its daily Houston flight to a 50 seat regional jet.

Airport Construction Progress

Construction of Engineered Materials Arresting System, or EMAS, at the end of runway 5 has been completed.

There are currently projects to add a safety area and an extension to the airports main runway, as well as a project to widen the main taxiway. Also, the second stage of the project to widen taxiway A is in progress. You may view progress of the taxiway construction, runway extension, and runway safety area on the Projects page.
