Northwest Jet Service to Detroit

       Northwest Airlines has upgraded one of its three daily 34-seat turboprop flights from Yeager Airport to its Detroit hub to a 50-seat Regional Jet. The Jet flight arrives in Charleston at 3:15pm and departs for Detroit at 4:10pm. This marks the introduction of jet service on the Charleston - Detroit route. Northwest currently offers 3 daily roudntrip flights to its Detroit, MI hub.


Continental Flies Larger Aircraft to Cleveland

       Continental Airlines is now flying 37-seat Dash 8 turboprops between Charleston and its Cleveland hub. These aircraft have replaced the smaller, louder 19-seat aircraft that used to fly the route. These larger aircraft are more spacious and have an onboard lavatory and flight attendant, opposed to the previously used aircraft. Continental currently offers 3 daily roundtrip flights to its hub in Cleveland, OH and 2 daily flights to its Houston, TX hub.


Nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach and Orlando

       Nonstop jet flights to Myrtle Beach on Southern Skyways will resume on May 22nd. Flights will be operated on Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays and tickets start at $79 each way. Southern Skyways will also be offering nonstop flights to Orlando Sanford Airport. Flights to Orlando will be operated on Sundays and Thursdays and tickets start at $99 each way.
